Description |
The actor Nakamura Nakazo III as Anrokusan,
in the Kabuki play Kibi-daijin Shina Monogatari performed at the Kawarasaki theatre in 05/1875. The play tells the story of Kibi Daijin,
or Great Minister Kibi, who was sent in 717 as an envoy to the Chinese court and who credited with the introduction in Japan of the Go game, of
the biwa (or Chinese lute), of embroidery and of the "secrets of the calendar". |
