Man-Pai / Room 6: Edo

This room shows artists dedicated to Japanese Woodblock Prints prior to 1868. Amongst them artists of the Utagawa school, such as Toyokuni (1769-1825), Kuniyoshi (1798-1861) or Yoshiiku (1833-1904). Reference also to two great masters of the Ukiyo-e tradition: Kitagawa Utamaro (1753?-1806) and Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), and to the room dedicated to the work of the Osaka school.
