Yamato
Takeru no Mikoto (Prince Brave of Yamato) is the legendary son of the
legendary 12th emperor Keiko. He may have lived in the 2nd century AD,
and reportedly died in Ise. He was
supposedly responsible for expanding the territory of the Yamato court.
His story appears in the chronicles Kojiki (AD712) and Nihon Shoki or
Japanese Chronicles (AD720).
