Man-Pai / Yoshitoshi: Sanno Festival

 

Sanno festival is a traditional event combining Shintoist and Buddhist elements. It is still celebrated in  Kyoto and Edo. The print shows the festival parade, as it passes Edo Castle, with a dancer on a float.
