A Daimyo's
procession is passing near the foot of a mountain at sunset. In
the foreground we see the waves of the mounting tide. This print was
probably part of the several series published in 1863 illustrating the
visit of the last shogun to Kyoto, where he went to consult the
Emperor in a move that contributed to the fall of the Shogunate. |
