The print shows a
group of people in Heigen temple precinct, which is surrounded by trees,
some of them in blossom. Above the mist the roofs of two of the Temple
buildings can be seen. Heigen temple was founded in 1127, near the
second Tokaido station in Kawasaki. It was one of the most popular Buddhist
shrines during the Edo period. |
